Bell Buoy - North Coast
Bell Buoy - North Coast
Bell Buoy
For the central north coast, Bell Buoy is the best spot for picking up the most swell and wind combination. Waves are reasonably formed - Euro style conditions.
Best conditions are West - North West wind and swell. Usually requires 24 hrs of good wind before the swell gets to a decent size. Swell can reach mast high but is a crumbling type wave - very soft on equipment. If the wind is NE or East the ocean is pretty flat - go to Port Latta
A great place for backside wavesailing. Cross shore mushy wave riding is common - some cross off conditions if your lucky. One of the best places for jumping in Tasmania.
