Bluff Beach
Bluff Beach is about 8 minutes south of Marrawah on your way to Arthur River. This is one of the most consistent spots to sail in the area. It is a left hander beach break on the south end and a right hander on the north end. Wind is cross off shore in SSW - SW and NNE - NE. Waves range from 3ft to 14ft. Typical day is 6ft. Bluff area is a great choice for wind as it is one of the most exposed areas for Southerly afternoon sea breezes. If you want it at its most powerfull then sail it in November and December. Most of the time its between 30 - 40 knts with mast high waves. From January to March you rely mainly on the afternoon sea breeze between 20 - 30 knts. Waves for this period are consistently half mast and bigger.
